“Reassembly continues.”

Please Pardon the Twenty-Year Interruption

AM2K is being put back together.

The site began as a small general-interest publication covering popular culture, advice, photographs, competitions, and other subjects that larger organizations had declined to examine closely enough. It later spent an unusually long period between issues.

The restored AM2K will include material recovered from its original run, along with occasional new writing in the same broad and unnecessarily serious tradition. Everything will live together in the Archive, provided the Archive can first be persuaded to contain things.

Several sections are already open. Others remain behind temporary signage while old files are sorted, photographs are identified, and basic questions such as “What year was this?” receive conflicting answers.

For now, come in and look around. The publication is incomplete, but no longer hypothetical.

“The filing system has not improved with age.”

Available in the Meantime

General Zod is accepting questions from humans who have exhausted less authoritarian sources of advice.

Pit Fights has reopened its original matchup between Jimmy Page and Boba Fett, allowing the public another opportunity to settle a matter it had no reason to consider in the first place.

The Archive and Gallery are still being assembled. The About page offers a more orderly account of AM2K than AM2K has generally offered of itself.

A Note on Timing

There is no grand reopening date. Material will appear as it is recovered, cleared, written, or otherwise made fit for public viewing.

Work is underway. That is the entire announcement.
